Mooncascade Is Getting Stronger Than Ever

Mooncascade is an advisory, design, and software development company that guides businesses through the ever-changing digital landscape. Whether it’s defining clear business goals, expanding an existing service, or launching a new FinTech product – Mooncascade knows the way. Our mission is to help small companies grow and established businesses move quickly.

Right before COVID-19 hit the world, Mooncascade was going through one of the roughest periods in its history. Nevertheless, we come out strong. Last year marked the highest revenue in the company’s history, this year it is about to surpass the previous year’s results – with YOY revenue growth of 56 percent from 2020 to 2021. 

As part of the future growth, Mooncascade has updated its brand identity, expanded services, and has set a target to conquer the German market. 

We are taking this as an opportunity to evolve our brand in order to better communicate the breadth of expertise that Mooncascade truly represents and realign with our refined value proposition and vision.

Launching a truly global brand

Mooncascade was founded 12 years ago in Tartu, Estonia, and has developed strongly over the last decade. Developing from a local tech champion to a serious player in the international stage of software development, we needed to make sure that the brand represents what it has evolved to – a transparent and reliable partner for software development projects, global product strategies, cloud modernization, and cutting edge UX/UI design. The redesign gives the brand a modern face that reflects the level of service provided and the value the company brings. The new logo symbolizes the growth elements of the moon which are complemented by a fifth one: the “pixel” as the smallest but most powerful object for digital visualization. It represents the creation of a big picture out of many small and well-thought-out elements. The new brand identity caters to the increasingly international client base of the company and represents the development of Mooncascade and its partners alike.

Focusing on the FinTech industry

Our recent focus is on the flourishing and ever-growing FinTech industry. Despite the Corona crisis, the number of Unicorns has increased from 117 in 2020 to 253 in 2021 globally. 60 of these are from the FinTech industry (compared to only 15 in the previous year) – figures that speak for themselves and indicate that the segment will continue to grow. Clients such as Monese, Wise (formerly TransferWise), Tickmill, Solarisbank, Swedbank, and Twino already rely on the expertise and team of Estonian experts. And this is what our team will continue to build on.

Setting a target to conquer the German market next

Mooncascade is increasingly focusing on the German market. The country has a rising FinTech scene and a tremendous growth potential. The pandemic continues to drive digitalization which strengthens the business models of FinTech start-ups. In recent months, there have been more – and larger – financing rounds. And this growth will not stop in the foreseeable future. On the contrary, the entire segment will continue to grow – which leads to a highly competitive market environment. In the first half of 2021, Mooncascade already saw international customer growth of 45 percent. This builds a solid base for the ambitious expansion plans to Germany and further.
